For indie developers, making games is a solitary journey. Imagine spending endless late nights, often after a full day’s work, immersed in code for years on end, chasing after your dream and hoping it’ll someday materialise.
Enter the London Games Festival campaign. Our goal? To shine a spotlight on the remarkable stories of talented indie gaming developers based in London.
For our visual approach, we opted for a striking approach: blending in-studio photography of the developers with vibrant illustrations showcasing the games they’ve poured their hearts into. It was all about bridging the virtual and real worlds in a captivating way.
For many of these developers, being part of such a campaign (a photoshoot with Apple!) was a first-time experience on such a grand scale. The excitement was palpable – it felt like a moment of validation, they had finally made it onto the big stage.
